How do I find a service provider?
Use our search bar on the homepage or browse by category. You can filter by:
- Service type (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
- Location/City
- Rating and reviews
Click on any provider to see their full profile, reviews, and contact information.
How do I request a quote?
On any provider's profile page, click the "Request Quote" button. Fill out the form with:
- Description of the work needed
- Your preferred timeline
- Your contact information
The provider will receive your request and respond directly.
Are providers verified?
We show verification badges for providers who have:
- Verified - Confirmed business information
- Premium - Paid subscribers with enhanced profiles
- Elite Partner - Top-tier partners with full verification
Always check reviews and ratings before hiring any service provider.
How do I leave a review?
After working with a provider, visit their profile page and click "Write a Review". You'll need to be signed in to leave a review. Be honest and specific about your experience to help other customers.
Is it free to use Home Work Directory?
Yes! Searching for providers, reading reviews, and requesting quotes is completely free for customers. We make money from provider subscriptions and advertising, not from customers.

How do I list my business?
Getting listed is easy:
- Create an account or sign in
- Go to the Provider Portal
- Fill out your business profile
- Select your service categories
- Submit for review
Basic listings are free. Upgrade to Premium or Elite for better visibility.
What are the subscription tiers?

How do I respond to quote requests?
When you receive a quote request:
- You'll get a notification (email and in-app)
- Go to your Provider Portal > Quotes
- Review the customer's request details
- Send your quote or decline the request
Respond quickly! Fast response times improve your ranking.
Can I respond to reviews?
Elite Partners can respond publicly to reviews. This helps you address concerns and show great customer service.
If you're on a Free or Premium plan, consider upgrading to Elite to unlock this feature.
How do I get more visibility?
Improve your ranking with these tips:
- Complete your profile 100%
- Add photos of your work
- Respond quickly to quote requests
- Encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews
- Upgrade to Premium or Elite for search boost

How do I reset my password?
Click "Sign In" then "Forgot Password". Enter your email address and we'll send you a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Can I sign in with Google?
Yes! Click "Sign In with Google" on the login page. This is the fastest and most secure way to access your account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Dashboard > Settings > Delete Account. Note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone. If you're a provider with an active subscription, cancel it first to avoid future charges.
Is my information secure?
We take security seriously:
- All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS)
- Passwords are hashed with Argon2
- We never share your personal information with third parties
- Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe
